Agreement
By downloading or using PitCrewAI ("the App") or by using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. The App and the website are provided by AppProved Software Corporation ("we," "us," "AppProved"), a corporation registered in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
What PitCrewAI is — and is not
PitCrewAI is an information tool. It reads data your vehicle already generates and presents it, with AI-generated explanations, on your iPhone. It is not a replacement for a qualified mechanic, dealership service, or any professional medical, emergency, or roadside service.
Diagnostic trouble codes and their explanations are informational. Always consult a qualified automotive technician before performing repairs.
Crash detection is a best-effort feature using iPhone sensors and engine telemetry. Do not rely on it as your sole means of emergency response. In the event of a real emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number).
Subscriptions
PitCrewAI is a paid subscription product. After a 14-day free trial, the subscription auto-renews at the rate you selected ($5.99/month or $39.99/year) until cancelled. All subscription management — including cancellation — is handled through your Apple ID, in iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions.
If you cancel during the 14-day trial, you will not be charged. Refunds for charges after the trial are handled by Apple, per Apple's standard policies.
OBD-II hardware
PitCrewAI requires a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 5.x) ELM327-compatible OBD-II adapter. We do not manufacture, sell, or warrant any hardware. WiFi dongles, classic-Bluetooth-only adapters, and Apple-proprietary adapters are not supported. We recommend the VGATE iCar Pro BLE 5.2 as a known-good option.
You are responsible for using the OBD-II port and adapter safely. Do not interact with the App while operating a vehicle except in hands-free mode.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
- Use the App in a manner that violates any applicable law
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the App or its content
- Use the App to interfere with vehicle safety systems
Intellectual property
The App, its design, code, and content (excluding your own vehicle data) are the property of AppProved Software Corporation, protected by United States and international copyright. "PitCrewAI" and "AppProved Software" are trademarks of AppProved Software Corporation.
Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AppProved Software Corporation shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or use, arising from your use of the App — including without limitation any vehicle damage, mechanical failure, personal injury, or emergency response delay, whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or from your use of the App shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Middlesex County, Massachusetts.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App or website after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
