Step 01 — Getting connected

Your iPhone doesn't see the dongle.

Make sure the dongle is BLE 5.x and ELM327-compatible. WiFi dongles and classic-Bluetooth-only adapters do not work with iPhone. We recommend the VGATE iCar Pro BLE 5.2 (≈$20 on Amazon).

Turn the car key to ACC or start the engine before pairing — the OBD-II port doesn't power up otherwise. In the app, go to Settings → OBD Adapter → Scan, and the dongle should appear within 10 seconds.

Step 02 — Live gauges aren't updating

Connected, but the readings are frozen.

This is usually a Bluetooth permissions issue. Open iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Bluetooth and make sure PitCrewAI has access. Then force-quit PitCrewAI and reopen it.

If the gauges still don't move, unplug the dongle for 10 seconds and plug it back in — some adapters need a hard reset after a long idle.

Step 03 — Crash detection

I had a false alarm.

The countdown is the dismiss window — tap I'm OK to cancel. Crash detection fuses iPhone motion sensors with live engine data to reduce false positives, but no system is perfect. If you're seeing frequent false alarms, please email us a description of when they happened (driving on rough roads? speed bumps?) so we can tune the model.

Step 04 — Subscription & billing

How do I cancel? Where's my receipt?

All subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. Open iPhone Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions, find PitCrewAI, and tap Cancel. Cancelling during the 14-day trial means you won't be charged.

Receipts come from Apple, not us. Check Settings → [Your Name] → Media & Purchases → Purchase History to find any PitCrewAI receipts.
